Hey there! I'm Primal Instinks, and this is the official website for The No Deo Hero. I'm an alternative individual filming alternative content for a like-minded community, and my anti-mainstream show is independently operated by me. I specialize in my own style of humor and athletics, and I also strive to strengthen and inspire others with my open and interactive vlogs.
I enjoy filming videos for a living and an artistic outlet, and my excitement in this hobby grew after my channel was discovered by a loyal cult following who love the esoteric content I produce. Many of these fans became patrons who began requesting me to film custom videos as a fun way to support me, and I continue offering the opportunity of video commissions to this day. I also offer paid access to watch behind-the-scenes extras detailed on this website and sell my personally-worn clothing as an exclusive offer to fans interested in financially supporting my show. |

On YouTube, I film retro-scripted comedy skits and regularly update several other playlists which make up my channel as a whole. I'm renowned for my breath-holding talent, where I athletically push my oxygen limit to the max (my longest personal record is 5 minutes and 36 seconds!) and for my simulated stompdown videos, where I pretend to jump my audience for a random reason; a dramatized act which was inspired by Godzilla and the printer-smashing scene from the movie Office Space. I also film workouts at my home gym and other entertaining acts my fans enjoy.
Here's some artwork of my show's mascot demonstrating some of what you'll see on my channel. His name is Cheesus Brodent, and he's basically a satirical rat version of me: a primal punk with a lean, natural body free of hygiene products!

My channel is also known for the creation of two hybrid sports I filmed with my friends: one is called "brethling," which is a form of jiu-jitsu where you win by restricting your opponent's oxygen supply in order to weaken them and then get them to tap out with a wrestling hold, and the other is "battle broyale," a combination of boxing and grappling where you bop each other with boxing gloves and try to tap each other out using submission holds.

The pain of not being able to breathe during a strenuous activity like wrestling is very real!
My channel name may be catchy and happen to rhyme, but it's no joke: I don't use deodorant on account of my natural outlook on life, and I named my show after this fact for self-deprecating humor. Because of how open I am about my unique identity, as well as the supportive vlogs I film encouraging others to be open and accepting about themselves, I've had fans tell me they look up to me like a hero, and I humbly accepted their title and named my channel The No Deo Hero in honor of it. It was originally titled "The No Deo Duo" in honor of a close friend I filmed with in the beginning, but I updated it after he got married and moved on in life.
A prominent theme of my show is body odor-related humor, which includes funny and gross scenarios like "the stinkpit" and "stinkshoe trivia." Of course I had to commission a digital artist for artwork of those too!

The main inspirations for my content are the daring antics of the Jackass crew and the gross humor of The Ren & Stimpy Show. I was also inspired by the stomping and roaring action of Godzilla, the random skits and songs of Tim and Eric Awesome Show, Great Job!, the improvised character comedy of prankster Richard Christy, my favorite video games, parody and satire in shows such as Futurama and South Park, and silly cartoons with slapstick effects like Looney Tunes.
For my vlogs and core message, inspiration comes from prominent subcultures and counterculture movements of the beats (beatniks) of the 50's, the hips (hippies) of the 60's, and the punks of the 70's. I aim to tear down the outdated stigmas of society that confused me while I was growing up and struggling to understand my alternative identity, and to strengthen, empower, and educate anyone else who could use a relatable voice and leader for alternative communities.
