Hey everyone! Primal here. I want to explain the lack of new featured friends on my show so everyone can understand why it isn't as easy as it might seem to meet friends who want to participate despite how fun and positive it all is to you and me.
As you may already know, I originally started this show in 2015 with my former best friend. Our mutual friends from the job we all met at participated with us on the side, and it seemed for a while that I had a good crew of pals who were enjoying being part of something so awesome that I had created, which fans from all around the world have come to love. Then our friends' lives changed and some of them stopped coming around, and then my best friend got married and had to cut me out of his life in order to make his wife happy. I decided to continue on solo, but then my friend K2, who originally started filming with me in 2017, began coming around again so I opened it back up to including friends. Then I met new friends who filmed with me for a while before their lives changed and they too drifted away, leaving K2 to be the only friend participating with me anymore. Being a social person, I continue to meet new friends at my part-time job. I do "regular" things with them like go to the gym and play sports, and as with all my friends, I invite them to participate with me on my show. The only problem is that the content I like to film isn't what they want to film so they don't end up wanting to do it. In some instances, they'll ask me for the link to my channel and I'll tell them, and they'll have a look at it and end up giving me feedback. Sometimes they mention some of the affectionate comments fans leave on my videos, and they're usually weirded out by them. Even though I'm genuinely flattered by the loving comments fans leave me, I'm aware that not everyone is going to want to read things like that written about them by people they don't know, and this scares them away from participating. I try to explain to them that they're harmless compliments and that anyone with enough of a following is going to get comments like that from their fans, but some of them feel that the people watching might only focus on their looks instead of watching for laughs and to be entertained. What they seem to be saying is that they aren't interested in "modeling" for my fans. Another reason is simply because they don't want to have to be on camera when they hang out with their friends. Filming videos with me is not a requirement of my friendship, and since the videos my fans like to see aren't videos they're comfortable with or interested in filming, they end up declining the offer. When we hang out, they just want to socialize and play sports instead of trying to participate in a video for a show they apparently don't feel they belong on. The idea of video commissions is even more discomforting to most people I meet. Even though I've had nearly 30 people featured on my show in the 7 years I've been creating content here for, most people in person tell me I'm so brave and open-minded to allow people to pay me to film videos for them and that they wouldn't be able to do it because of insecurities they have. They tell me I should keep doing it because it's making people happy and they know I'm happy doing it, but they just don't want to be a part of it themselves because it's not for them. Of course I respect my friends' decisions and would never try to force anyone to do something they express discomfort in doing. This situation is difficult for me because the most-watched videos on my channel are wrestling/brethling matches and stinkpit/stinkshoe skits, and these require more than one person to film. This is why I'm especially thankful for K2 because he enjoys filming these types of videos with me, but it's hard to find new friends who want to jump in on it. I know I have fans out there who are happy to just see me without the need of another person to be present, and for that I'm most thankful. The No Deo Hero has actually been a solo channel since 2021, and I really appreciate K2 continuing to come around and participate in the videos with me. He still comes around to this day, and he's still available for video commissions as well like I am, but as far as anyone else goes... I have no idea when I'll be able to meet more friends who want to be on the show full-time with me, especially when it comes to custom commissions. You might occasionally see other friends of mine featured in channel videos every now and then, but just know that it's not easy to find people locally who share this interest with me. And it's sad because I have so many fans who tell me they'd absolutely love to be a part of my show if they only lived closer! And I would love to have you on my show too if it were possible. So that's why you don't see as many other people in my videos these days. It's my show, and K2 is an honored friend and participant who was able to fully integrate into it after a few years, whereas nobody else wants to commit to the obligation of it in their busy and "normal" lives. But don't worry... you'll always have me! I'll continue to proudly represent for the fellow "different" people in the world, and in no way has the decisions of anyone else affected that for me. I will continue on solo if that's what it takes to keep making the mark on the world that I am with my messages and content, and all the loving and supporting comments and messages from all of you ensure that I won't be stopping anytime soon. I hope K2 is able to continue filming with me for a long time as well, and I appreciate him for being the one friend who still does. Thank you for your understanding and continued support!
